First Week of Winter Films is an independent production company, founded in 2013 by owner/writer/director/producer Jeremy Sumrall and is dedicated to creating off-the-wall entertainment.  The motto is "High Quality.  Low Brow." for a reason.

Their first feature-length film - the 1980s-set slasher flick PICKAXE (starring genre stalwarts Tiffany Shepis and A. Michael Baldwin) - is a best seller on Amazon, and they're just getting started.

Their unique and off-kilter sensibilities has garnered them attention across the world, from the likes of FANGORIA Magazine, GOREZONE Magazine, and Germany's VIRUS Magazine. Their short films have also won many awards, including MOST AWKWARD MOMENT by Splatterfest in Houston.

First Week of Winter Films is sure to be a unique voice and a staple in independent horror cinema for the forseeable future.
